Podcast: Veggie tales

Mollie Katzen shares techniques for making the most of vegetables

Mollie Katzen’s new book, The Vegetable Dishes I Can’t Live Without, is a paean to vegetables. Katzen, who’s written many books of vegetarian recipes — including the much-loved Moosewood Cookbook, her first, published in 1977 — is on a mission to get you to eat your vegetables. Her strategy? Make them as delicious as possible.

Mollie Katzen wants us to relish our veggies.

In this, our first Culinate podcast, Katzen offers four ideas for making the most of the vegetables you cook — with an equipment tip thrown in.

We hope this conversation will help you view your CSA basket with fresh eyes — or at least remind you of the goodness of vegetables; that’s what it’s done for me.

What a wonderful podcast. I love that it starts with the phone ringing -- it’s inviting, informal and very informative. I can’t wait to hear more of these.
