Special callout to Portlanders:
The Wedge is this weekend

By Kim Carlson
October 5, 2007

Did you read this week’s interview with Jeff Roberts?

Cheese is the word in Portland, Oregon, this weekend.

If he piqued your interest about cheese and you’re lucky enough to be in Oregon this weekend, you can attend The Wedge, a cheese festival at the Portland Farmers' Market, to be held this Saturday during market hours, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. A host of cheese purveyors will be on hand to show their wares.

In addition, Roberts and Laura Werlin, author of The New American Cheese, will each hold 90-minute cheese workshops at the market (inside Portland State University) — Jeff’s, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. ($10) and Laura’s, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. ($20, with wine).

Register here or at the market.

See you there!
