Naked Grain Recipe Finalists

Vote for the one you’ll try

Voting is closed — thanks, everyone. We’ll announce our winner soon.

Thanks, everyone, for entering the Naked Grains Recipe Challenge. We had lots of great entries — so if you’re hungry for grains — and why wouldn’t you be? — get yourself over to the full list of recipes and then get yourself to the kitchen. (Included there are some recipes that we couldn’t quite call salads, but that sound wonderful and that we’ll be making, too.)

But first, you need to vote.

It wasn’t easy to pick our five finalists (we went round and round about it for several days), but finally we’ve come up with this list. They are:

Carolyn’s Umami Girl's Wheatberry Salad.

Amy’s Beet Wheat Berry Salad.

Jennifer’s Bulgur Salad with Tarragon Chicken.

Marcella’s Wheat Berry Salad with Pomegranates and Pine Nuts.

Kate’s Hominy Supergrain Salad.

Please vote for the salad you’d like to try making first:

Voting is open until midnight (PT) Monday, October 26. We’ll notify the winner soon thereafter; she’ll win $100 to spend at her local farmers’ market (or if her market is closed, we’ll negotiate something else).

Congratulations to all the finalists and thanks again to everyone who entered.

Now go eat grains!
