Her new book, Edible Schoolyard, is out, but Chez Panisse founder and school-lunch-reform advocate Alice Waters is hardly taking a breather. According to Marian Burros, writing on Gourmet.com, Waters has spent years working to get the attention of American politicians, and she campaigned extensively for our current president. Now she’ll continue her efforts to steer the federal government toward paying greater attention to food issues, including school lunch.
