Summer is just around the calendar corner, and with it comes heaping harvests: berries, tomatoes, cucumbers, stone fruit. Should you feel like putting up some of this harvest in a social setting, check out Yes We Can, a Bay Area project coordinating canning activities from June through September. Looking for such a project elsewhere? Troll Pick Your Own’s online list. And read up on the history of community canneries in the Eat Local Challenge’s summary.
