July 14, 2008

Grist is sporting a new Q&A-styled food-advice column called Checkout Line. Written by journalist Lou Bendrick, the column looks to be — like most of Grist — both comic and informative. The first question is about domestically grown nuts, and the answer is satisfyingly detailed; did you know pecans are native? Helpfully, Bendrick searched “nuts” on YouTube, so you don’t have to.
