We’d like to give a little shout-out to two of our favorite people: Culinate columnist Matthew Amster-Burton’s daughter, Iris, and Portland pal Julian Kreusser. Their claim to fame? Being food-savvy kids.

The Amster-Burtons recently appeared on the CBS “Early Show,” promoting Matthew’s new book, Hungry Monkey. And Kreusser, who has his own public-access cooking show called “Big Kitchen with Food,” turned up on “The Today Show.” Both kids showed the audience a thing or two about cooking grace under pressure.
