Bonnie Powell, over at the ever-helpful Ethicurean, is not pleased that the FDA has approved the “natural” label for high-fructose corn syrup. Seems as if earlier reports that such labeling would not take place were premature.
And speaking of labels — specifically as they pertain to animal products and animal welfare — Sam Fromartz recently posted a helpful label guide on his blog, Chewswise. The good-better-best rating is worth a look.
