The freezer ain’t just for ice cubes and ice cream. As Mark Bittman pointed out recently in his Minimalist column, you can (and should) use it to store all kinds of foodstuffs, from leftover soup to perishable nuts. And please, he reminds readers, don’t forget to label what you freeze. For more, check out his guest spot on “The Today Show.”
