So we’re all trying to spend less money at the grocery store while food prices continue to rise. Feeling frustrated? Check out the basic tips for menu planning on the website Simple Mom (via the blog Cheap Healthy Good). Try it for a week and see if it makes you less (or more) crazy around the kitchen.

Interesting! I wouldn’t call her Google calendar method “basic” but she’s definitely got it down to a science. I’ve got a whiteboard in my kitchen, which is a trick I stole from working in restaurants. I plan about a week out and keep a side list on the board of things I need to use (perishables in red).
