So the Pacific Northwest dairy-farming cooperative Darigold has launched an advertising campaign to reassure milk-drinkers that, yes, dairy farmers are just folks. The company’s website features photos of farmers against agrarian backdrops that occasionally include, you know, cows.
Our favorite, though, is this local Portland billboard that shows a farmer standing in a cornfield. No cows anywhere in sight — but then again, it’s a nice, if probably unintentional, reminder that most American cows eat a corn-based diet.
