Someone we know (in fact, someone in this very office) has his eye on this egg and muffin toaster. Have you used one? Is it worth buying?

why does the photo have a logo saying “back to basics”? and how the heck do you clean that egg-poacher thingy?
my vote: ridiculous!

I hate to admit it, but this would be heaven for my mom. All they would need to add is the coffee extension and she would have breakfast covered on almost every day.
I can see the college student dorm appeal though.

I’m going with “waste of space”.

It reminds me of those hot dog cookers, that heat the dog and the buns in a toaster, which I first saw in the ultimate luxury gadget (read: extravagant Rube Goldberg machines that do something simple in the most complicated, round-about way) catalogue SkyMall.
But everyone has their special gadgets that they love right? I remember an electric apple/potato peeler that we got when I was in elementary school that I LOVED. It actually got me to really appreciate the skin of fruits and veg. because they came off in such fun to eat ribbons.
So I wouldn’t feel bad about it (whoever you are!) -- if it propels you to eat more farm fresh eggs and tasty toast.

We had one for a while. Waste of space. I bought it so that my husband, who leaves for work at 5:15 am, could make himself a health(ier) breakfast easily. Turns out it’s difficult to clean and just a general PITA. Good idea though.

We love it. I make breakfast sandwiches for us to eat on the go. The egg cup is getting a bit sticky after a year of use, but it’s been a worthwhile appliance for us.

I loved it, but my brother loved it more, so I gave it to him last time he was in town. Egg sandwiches are my favorite breakfast, but it’s really not much harder to fry an egg in a pan. But, then again, everyone needs a toaster, and this is quick and convenient.

I still use mine as just a toaster, although I notice it toasts on only one side. I couldn’t seem to get the eggs to be less than rubbery and gave up on them. That could be just me, of course.
