About Alan Davidson

Davidson (1924-2003) was a British diplomat, historian, author, and publisher. His works include The Oxford Companion to Food and The Penguin Companion to Food. He was also the founder of the publisher Prospect Books and the food journal Petits Propos Culinaires.
