With her mother, Frances Moore Lappé (author of Diet for a Small Planet), Anna Lappé is co-founder of the Small Planet Fund and a founding principal of the Small Planet Institute, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Her first book, the bestselling Hope’s Edge: The Next Diet for a Small Planet, chronicled social movements on five continents addressing the root causes of hunger and poverty. Her second book, Grub: Ideas for an Urban Organic Kitchen, addressed the questions of what “organic” really means and how to source and use organic products.
Lappé lives in Brooklyn, New York.
