A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Puckette has worked in investment banking and Third World development. Her time working in Africa led to a love of cooking and enrollment in the Cordon Bleu cooking school in Paris. She worked in restaurants before starting a catering business in Paris titled Cuisines et Traditions du Monde.
