Hudgens learned to cook as a student at Deep Springs College in California. After cooking professionally at such restaurants as Chez Panisse, he returned to Deep Springs as the campus cook. Currently, Hudgens teaches cooking in the Bay Area and blogs about food at Whole Hog.
