Dogs and Harissa

Picked up “snappy” hot dogs (they’re huge!) from new butcher shop, Laurelhurst Market on E. Burnside in PDX. Opening a can of harissa and lugging out the grill...summer and the living is easy....

BimBimBap with Miso Mackerel

I blanched fresh veggies, made a pot of short grain rice and marinated a whole butterflied mackerel with miso. Served it with daikon kim chee from Korean market. Mackerel is a sustainable caught fish,and man is it delish!
