Death by Chocolate contest Terms and Conditions

Official Rules

  1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
  2. Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 AM Pacific Time (PST) on 1/30/2008 and ends at 12:01 (PST) on 2/8/2008. U.S. residents only may enter by submitting their information to http://www.culinate.com/chocolate so it is received by 12:00 PM (PST) on 2/8/2008. Limit: one entry per person. Each entry will be automatically entered to win the grand prize. Follow all instructions posted on this website. Sponsors are not responsible for computer equipment failure.
  3. Prizes: There will be two featured winners: one reader, randomly selected, and one blogger, selected by a panel of judges from among the 10 bloggers that receive the most votes during the voting period of 02/04/08-02/08/08. Each winner will receive round-trip travel for two on Southwest Airlines flights within the continental U.S.; double-occupancy room for two nights in Napa, CA; paid attendance for two at Copia's Death by Chocolate Festival; rental car per-diem of $50/day; and a private factory tour for two at Charles Chocolates on Friday, February 22, 2008. Food and other expenses are not included. Odds of winning depend on when you enter and the number of eligible entries received.   4. Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Random drawing will be conducted on or about 02/08/2008 by Culinate, Inc. Decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the sweepstakes. Winner will be notified by e-mail, mail or phone. If a prize or notification is returned as undeliverable or does not receive a timely response, the corresponding prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. No prize substitutions will be permitted, except Sponsors may substitute any prize with one of equal or greater retail value. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. Sponsors are not responsible for any taxes that may be related to these prizes. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use each winner's name, prize won, hometown and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity including online posting without additional compensation.
  5. Sweepstakes is open to legal residents, 18 or older, of the 50 United States (including the District of Columbia). Employees of the Sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate families of each are not eligible to enter or win.
