Introduction
A combination of fresh fruit juice and a little sparkling water (seltzer) makes a very refreshing drink and allows a nonimbibing guest the opportunity to “work the crowd” with glass in hand, but without subverting his or her desire to avoid alcohol. Serve in a 12-ounce tumbler or highball glass.
Ingredients
| ~ | Ice cubes or cracked ice |
| ½ | cup squeezed or puréed juice of fresh fruit, such as oranges, grapefruits, apples, various melons, strawberries, papayas, or mangos |
| ½ | cup sparkling water |
| ~ | Thin slices of same fruit, for garnish |
Steps
- Place ice in serving glass. Add juice and sparkling water and stir lightly to blend. Garnish with fruit slices.
