Hot Apple Cider

Introduction

There’s nothing quite like hot apple cider on a chilly autumn afternoon. Once you’ve mulled the cider and are ready to serve it, you can either leave the whole spices in or strain them out.

Ingredients

3 cups fresh apple cider (pasteurized)
¾ cup freshly squeezed orange juice
2 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves

Steps

  1. Combine everything in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer, turn to low, and allow to steep for 20 to 30 minutes.
  2. When ready to serve, pour into mugs. (If you want to strain out the spices, pour the cider through a strainer.)
