Ayers Creek Farm is famous for their unique and robust vegetables. This root vegetable takes the cake. Anthony commented last week that he had rutabagas the size of a baby’s head. This one I think is the size of the baby. It was almost as big as the Musquee de Provence squash.

I have no idea. David Barber of Three Square Grill bought it. I am dying to know what he’s going to do with it.

Perhaps he’s turning it into pickles? I bet it would be good (cooked, pureed) worked into mashed potatoes, too. Or maybe it could be roasted and served whole, a substitute for turkey on the thanksgiving table . . .

Oh roasting it and carving it in the shape of a turkey would be so funny. If David does do something like that I hope he posts pictures.
