The contest is now closed. Congratulations to the winners: Culinate users teaisfun and asides.
Here at Culinate, we recently introduced new member-page features, including the ability to network among friends.
This month also marks our site’s second birthday. To celebrate — and to encourage our members to get to know each other — we’re offering a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer to each of two lucky Culinate members. Two years, two mixers.
Here’s how the mixer contest* works: From now until 11:59 p.m. PST Tuesday, February 10, we’ll keep track of all the Culinate members who add at least five new friends to their member pages. We’ll randomly pick two winners from this pool.
Want to increase your chances of winning a mixer? Every new friend you add beyond the initial five will proportionally increase your chances to win.
Here’s how to invite friends to your member page:
Log in to Culinate. Click on “My Culinate” above your name in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage, and you’ll be taken to your member page.
Once on your member page, click on the “Invite your friends to Culinate” link on the left column. Add the emails of people you’d like to invite; it’s up to you whether you also write a personal note. Then, click on “Send,” and you’re done.
We’ll send your friends emails inviting them to accept your friend invitation on Culinate. To accept, they have to register on the site. Once they’ve registered and accepted your invitation, their user names will appear in your friends section on your member page — and you’ll appear on theirs.
So what are you waiting for already? Start making friends on Culinate!
