With only a few days to go until Turkey Day, we’ve all been doing a lot more baking. Even when we struggle with it, as Melissa Lion noted earlier this year in her piece “The sourdough apprentice,” we still find the alchemy of ingredients and heat a wondrous thing.

In celebration of winter’s emphasis on baking, we’re giving away copies of the book featured in Melissa’s story, The Bread Baker’s Apprentice, to three lucky readers. To win a copy, all you have to do is leave a comment on any one of the three recipes featured in Melissa’s essay:

Congratulations to our three winners: Carla, David, and Matthew!

(Because of Thanksgiving, we will allow winners a few extra days — until December 1 — to reply to the notification emails we send out.)

Good luck to all!

All eligible winners must have mailing addresses in the U.S. or Canada.
Winners are selected from all valid entrants and will be announced on this page once selected and confirmed.
Please note that all standard Culinate contest rules apply to this drawing.
