Our recipes are straightforward and simple to prepare, marrying fresh ingredients with first-rate pantry items. “First rate” does not mean expensive or hard to procure, but considers the constraints of both budget and time. While we desire to eat locally and seasonally — and we do just that with much of the produce and products we buy — we also recognize that there is just too much good food in the world to put all of our eggs in one basket.
In our desire to eat well, we recognize that we are more likely to enjoy cooking if the process doesn’t take away from what we’re ultimately trying to achieve: a meal that pleases the palate, nourishes the body, and gives us time around the table with people we care about.
