Slow Food Chefs

Given that it turns 20 in 2009, the Italy-based international nonprofit Slow Food is practically the granddaddy of the eat-better movement. Its slogan — “good, clean, and fair food” — aptly sums up the goals of everyone who’s trying to eat food that’s been produced honestly and healthfully. Slow Food isn’t about fancy food; it’s about traditional foods produced in authentic ways that benefit all involved, from the producers to the planet. In this collection, we share recipes for home cooks from restaurant chefs who espouse Slow Food ideals. Take a look also at our profiles of Slow Food chefs.
