Introduction
Spoon this simple peach sauce over pancakes or Belgian waffles, vanilla ice cream or yogurt, or slices of pound cake or angel-food cake.
Ingredients
| 4 | peaches |
| 1 | vanilla bean, scored in half and seeds removed |
| ~ | Juice from ½ orange |
| ~ | Sugar, if necessary |
Steps
- Pit, skin, and slice the peaches.
- In a small pot, combine peaches, vanilla, and orange juice.
- Simmer over low to medium heat until the juices are released and the mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes. Add sugar, if necessary, and cook until dissolved.
