Introduction
The ever-popular Cosmopolitan is basically a kamikaze tinted pink with cranberry juice. Rhubarb syrup colors and flavors this Cosmo for a delicious seasonal cocktail. For a non-alcoholic drink, pair rhubarb syrup with seltzer water for a refreshing soda.
Ingredients
| 2 | shots vodka (Monopolowa is nicely neutral) |
| ⅔ | cup freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice |
| ⅓ | cup rhubarb syrup |
| ~ | Lime half-moons for garnish |
Steps
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then pour in the vodka, the citrus juice, and the rhubarb syrup. Shake vigorously, then strain into two martini glasses. Garnish with half-moons of lime.

2/3 cup of lemon or lime juice seems like too much.

1/3 cup lemon juice with a shot of vodka and sweetened with rhubarb syrup is just right for 1 drink (this recipe makes two drinks).

I made this last night and my husband and I agreed that there was too much lemon/lime juice, it was way too sour and we couldn’t taste the rhubarb. We thought this worked better: 2oz vodka, 1oz lemon/lime juice, 1oz rhubarb syrup.
