man, shopping for oils is so dang confusing. i realized last night that a bottle of spectrum olive oil that i’d bought in a hurry a few weeks ago — Omega-3 Olive Oil — was “omega enhanced” because it has flaxseed oil added to it. um, aren’t you supposed to keep flaxseed oil in the FRIDGE?
sure, i know all liquid oils will last longer if i keep them in the fridge, but olive oil gets thick and cloudy in the fridge, and it’s usually pretty shelf-stable anyways. unlike flaxseed oil.
should i chuck my omega bottle? it doesn’t taste rancid yet. but i’m annoyed. and the bottle doesn’t say anything like “refrigerate after opening” on it. durr!
