Bravery is a trait you have that I lack. I hike through the mountains regularly and see and notice and examine some of the most unusual and beautiful mushrooms there could be. Though I have a detailed book to help me identify them, I’ve never considered eating them. I’m sure that I’d pick one I was certain to be edible and delicious and find myself expired or worse soon after. Even the wonderful chanterelles that my wife and I love to put in our favorite salmon recipe would seem like playing russian roulette if I took them from the woods. So I envy you!
