Thank you Nicolette for continuing to bring the issues of food safety, the quality of food being put on the table, and the idea of building relationships with farmers in our own foodsheds to everyone’s attention. Judy (Doe Run Farm CSA, Tn.)
Joel Salatin, knows of what he speaks. We had the pleasure of hearing him speak last year at a Sustainable Ag Conference, and besides being very knowledgeable about farming practices, he is very humorous! If you have the opportunity to hear him, I think you will agree. His books are full of good information and very entertaining as well. http://www.doerunfarmtn.com (Italic text) Judy McGary
Just read your great article on “Root Pruning of Tomatoes”. Most farmers at one time or another can most certainly put this into practice. On our farm we tend to do this with a lot of our tomato plants, as time permits, and it really helps. Having the directions you set forth in the article makes it sound much less intimidating for those that would like to give it a try! Well done!
