Slurping air and broth
when teenagers sleep to the last possible minute and have to fly out the door. This morning they flew whole grain french toast . Lunch is leftovers; asparagus risotto and meatballs and sauce with whole grain pasta.
I am playing with seasonal transitions for my canning cupboard. In the last few weeks I have made grapefruit-rhubarb and kumquat-rhubarb marmalades. I am setting them with a homemade apple pectin I made two years ago with a friend when we decided to cull her Lodi apple tree.
