How Much Do Our Meals Cost? (and a Recipe) by Loulou on Apr 7, 2009 at 8:20 AM PDT
Thanks Mark! I’m still trying to figure out how it all works.
Anon - I love that you have shared a breakdown of the prices in Portland for this dish. Thanks for taking the time to do that.
I think that we have pretty low prices on some things here in the rural south of France.
Fresh from the Farmers’ Market by Loulou on Mar 21, 2009 at 8:25 AM PDT

Can’t wait!

This hits the mark!
Cooking should be a delight, not a chore, and it always pains me to hear people think of it as something they “have” to do.

I cook chicken the same way - stovetop first, oven last - and make a chickpea, olive oil, garlic and lemon zest melange to go with it. Fabulous!

Grape expectations by Loulou on Oct 3, 2007 at 1:48 AM PDT
I spent a week in Lucca last year at an apartment across the street from a focaccia bakery. Every morning we went across to buy giant pieces that seemed to disappear all too quickly.
This looks great! I’ll make some Schiacciata con l’uva with the grapes left on the vines now that the grape harvest is almost over. Perfect timing!
Pimientos de Padrón by Loulou on Aug 27, 2007 at 4:28 AM PDT
Those are my favorite tapas to order when I’m in Spain. They’re so delicious!

Making ice cream for myself and my husband and will probably share it with a couple of friends too.
Our switch to Powell’s Books by Loulou on Jun 18, 2007 at 12:19 AM PDT
Powells is always my first choice when looking online for books. Good job promoting their excellent service!
Going to the dogs by Loulou on Apr 7, 2007 at 11:44 PM PDT
Great recipe ideas. I started making my own dog food last year but gave up when I had to go out of town for a couple of weeks. I found our dogs became more impatient too! They wanted their bowls, NOW!
