I would curl up and read this in a day!

Butter Cut-Out Cookies by cdziuba on Dec 19, 2008 at 1:36 PM PST

What’s not to love?! A true Christmas Classic, and the cake flour gives it a gourmet-like twist.

Nibby Buckwheat Butter Cookies by cdziuba on Dec 18, 2008 at 1:29 PM PST

I’ve had Buckwheat Pancakes, but these cookies are a new one on me. Sounds hearty and nutritious.

Änisbrötli (Anise Cookies) by cdziuba on Dec 17, 2008 at 2:03 PM PST

I am definitely making these tomorrow night, this recipe totally grabs me, I want some!

Panforte Nero by cdziuba on Dec 16, 2008 at 1:30 PM PST

I’ve never heard of this, nor seen it on any Italian menu. Very interesting recipe. I like a good, dense cake/cookie.

Tiroler Leckerli (Austrian Christmas Cookies) by cdziuba on Dec 15, 2008 at 12:51 PM PST

I’d never heard of Backobaten wafers before, and certainly never saw a recipe using wafers as a base. Very interesting!

Toffee Brittle with Chocolate and Sea Salt by cdziuba on Dec 12, 2008 at 2:45 PM PST

This is really over-the-top. I’m not sure about all the butter! However, it looks divine.

Rum Balls by cdziuba on Dec 11, 2008 at 1:02 PM PST

Wow, that’s a lot of rum. I like the recipe, have never had a rum ball, ever.

Cornmeal-Almond Biscotti by cdziuba on Dec 10, 2008 at 12:37 PM PST

This is a nice recipe. I do make my own biscotti, and prefer the almonds chopped coarsely.

Chocolate Truffles by cdziuba on Dec 9, 2008 at 2:57 PM PST

Truffles are so decadent, love the recipe.

Rugelach by cdziuba on Dec 8, 2008 at 11:48 AM PST

I’m very happy to see the cream cheese in the recipe, I can’t fathom how it would taste without it. Fabulous recipe!

Lorna Sass’s recipe sounds very good, a really nice complexity to it.

Gingersnaps by cdziuba on Dec 5, 2008 at 1:30 PM PST

These look great! I like that there is a chewy element to the cookies, but also a crispness.

Hazelnut Ginger Shortbread by cdziuba on Dec 4, 2008 at 12:40 AM PST

I have never used crystallized ginger, and this recipe made me interested in trying it, perhaps even making the shortbread.

Frosted Chocolate Cookies by cdziuba on Dec 2, 2008 at 11:51 PM PST

I have to say, after reading the recipe, this may be a little too sweet for my husband. It would be right up my alley, though!

Homemade Marshmallows by cdziuba on Dec 2, 2008 at 9:31 AM PST

This is a very interesting and ambitious recipe.

Basic Sourdough Bread by cdziuba on Nov 21, 2008 at 9:28 AM PST

Great recipe. I had to get a taste for sourdough, I didn’t like it initally. cdziuba@aol.com

I’m not waiting til Christmas to take a try at this recipe.

Emerald City Salad by cdziuba on Mar 21, 2008 at 11:10 AM PDT

The recipe looks fine. I’ve raised four kids. It’s super important to consistently have cut up fruit and veggies always in the fridge. They all developed healthy habits.
