About Chris Howell

Chris Howell has traveled the world collaborating with local farmers and business people involved in the Slow Food and local food movements. Not to be limited by his own cultural ideas of farming he attended classes and conferences from Norway to South Africa and went on to live at Fattoria Cerreto Libri, a vineyard and olive oil producer in Tuscany and at Fromagerie des Amis, a cheese producer in Vaour, France. This experience inspired Howell as an entrepreneur to return home and launch a groundbreaking new venture Vermont Farm Tours, which explores the artisanal and culinary Vermont landscape by providing visitors and locals alike with an intimate look at some of the state’s outstanding farms, vineyards, and producers. Howell brings a new spark to the tourism business by exploring the rich story behind the people and places that craft Vermont’s unique cuisine--in only the way a seasoned and impassioned food connoisseur and grower can.
