Growing up my Mom used to take basic cake pan shapes and turn them into elephants, people, giraffes, etc. It was magical to see her bake a cake in a rectangular pan - and turn it into a butterfly, etc.! For Christmas a couple of years ago - Mom gave all three of us kids a small binder - it has copies of what she could find that remained of her old “Bakers Coconut Cut Up Cakes” book! That is a special cookbook!
