Eating up ‘Eating In’ by Jackie Munyer on Feb 20, 2010 at 5:51 AM PST

All the kids were in for the holidays,of course, I wanted to make all of their favorites. Instead of making a full pie, I decided to make individual tarts. The shells were made and browned all I had to do was cook the filling. I have always be able to make the most perfect coconut cream pie, but this time the filling did not set and I had tart overflow. We ate coconut soup instead of pie for dessert!

Cookbook love by Jackie Munyer on Dec 20, 2009 at 4:35 AM PST

It would be hard to choose just one book so here are a few of my favorites. The Inn at Litle Washington Cookbook A Consuming Passion by Patrick O’Connell is one of my favorites. The recipes are delicious in addition to being stunning. Mark Peel’s New Classic Family Dinners...great instructions, beautiful photos and delicious recipes. I love to try new recipes and enjoy making each a visual delight.

Turkey triumph by Jackie Munyer on Nov 11, 2009 at 3:44 AM PST

Because we have one oven, I prepare the casseroles the day before and have them ready to reheat the next. That saves the oven for the turkey and dressing for the morning of Thanksgiving.
