What a coincidence! Just a few days ago, I was telling my 17 year old daughter about eating radishes this way when I visited her father’s family in France before she was born... they were butter cutters, and although I was at first somewhat taken aback by the sheer luxuriousness of eating just butter, radishes and salt, I caught on very quickly! I’ve NEVER been a health-nut and have always loved butter, but this way of eating radishes surprised me-- very pleasantly! My daughter is eager to try it herself now.

These were wonderful! I had my doubts, too, when I was grating all of that nutmeg but it really wasn’t strong at all. Even my picky 16 year old daughter (who hasn’t liked anything new I’ve cooked lately) loved these!

My favorite gift cookbook is Alton Brown’s “I’m Just Here for the Food” which my husband gave me for Christmas a few years ago. He somehow wrangled a signed copy which was a wonderful surprise!
