Just once I’d like to see a list of the “healthy” items these couponers say they buy. I’ve occasionally looked through those FSI’s in the Sunday papers and rarely do I see anything other than processed foods.
I do use “coupons” when my supermarket has laundry detergent or toilet paper or such on sale, because they usually also have a manufacturer’s coupon you can load onto your loyalty card, which they’ll double for a significant savings.

I love community cookbooks and have many.
My all-time favorite is one published in 1959 or 1960 by the mothers’ club of my elementary school. Since we lived in a very small community, I knew, or knew of, every woman who contributed a recipe.
#5 Anonymous: That’s a great idea. Uses the vegetable “leavings” and still have something for the compost pile.
When I saw the photo, I thought it was going to tell us to save those bits for flavoring stock. Why compost that celery? Use it instead!
Oops! was just trying to add that without wasps, there’d be no figs. Figs need wasps to make fruit.
On the lime: twist the zest only, no juice!! The juice just masks that wonderful perfumey limey taste.
