Steamed up by Melissa Wood on Feb 23, 2010 at 8:50 PM PST

While attempting to pare down on kitchen appliances, I gave my rice cooker to my mom a couple of years ago and it wasn’t until I read this post that I realized how much I miss it. I think a rice cooker may have to find its way back into my kitchen soon.

And I can say from someone who eats brown rice almost exclusively, a rice cooker works well with it too.

Meat-eating vegetarians by Melissa Wood on Jan 13, 2010 at 7:38 PM PST

Such a ridiculous argument and condemnation of people who are trying to promote sustainable, healthy food. For many vegetarians, it wasn’t a matter of saving all animals, it was a choice not to support the industrial meat industry. I say good on food writers and activists for helping to make people more aware of their healthier, more ethical food options.

Stir crazy by Melissa Wood on Aug 25, 2009 at 11:29 AM PDT
