When I want to cut a couple pounds, I definitely cut back on pasta and focus on veggie-rich meals (like in Ivy Manning’s Mediterranean-inspired diet in her Eating well article 1/14). But it’s nice to remind folks that pasta’s not the enemy!

Thank you for this reminder...I am diving into the subject of agriculture, pesticides, GM food, and all that scary stuff. I’m lucky to live where organic apples are plentiful at the market for much of the year.

I made this last night as an alternative to a BLT Bread salad I often make. It was nice to skip the croutons. I added sunflower seeds for some crunch. Yum!

mmmmm, i like the grated cheddar idea. i like peas and poached chicken (or hot dogs)!
