It’s very cold here today, and we will soon be snowed in.....so I’m going to the grocery store in 2 minutes to get the ingredients for this delicious-sounding recipe......it’s perfect for a winter’s day in Minnesota!

this recipe is very similar to the one my grandmother, then my mother and now I have always made......I remember so well when my brother thought he would make fudge as a surprise to all of us, and he used 8 teaspoons of salt instead of 1/8 teaspoon........it was a surprise all right!

Shortbread is my favorite cookie as well......it’s all about the butter. The ginger is an intriguing addition.......not sure if it appeals to me or not.......not one of my favorite flavors....but I’m willing to try! Thanks for the giveaway!

the topping is what will make this dish unique......sounds luscious, and I would definitely like to try it!
