I love figs and I’m lucky to have a mature fig tree on the parking strip of the house next door. I also have several friends with fig trees and I am a happy recipient of over-bounty. My favorite way to eat them is sliced up, with a little thick unwhipped whipping cream poured on top and a few pine nuts for garnish. Yum!

I’ve never watched the food channel. I don’t watch TV at all, haven’t for about 20 years. This leaves a lot more time for cooking, reading, being with friends and all the other Good Stuff of life.
