I have tried. I promise, I really have. It´s just that it does taste like soap. I expect little bubbles to come out of my mouth when I eat it. Too bad.

The cabbage in cocido is one of my favourite bits. You don´t have to fight for it, either, so I pile my plate while others bicker over the morcilla.

I agree with you as far as the American experience goes. Where there was no espresso, now there is, and people are learning to drink it. But here in Spain it´s beginning to annoy me, because there was coffee before, solo, con leche, cortado o carajillo, and now there´s more and more Starbucks. And it just bugs me to have to call my cafe con leche “latte”.
